Press release: Hamdard GeneralHospital has been inaugurated. The hospital was officially inaugurated at the HamdardUniversityBangladesh campus in Hamdard Nagar, Gazaria, Munshiganj.

State Minister for Religious Affairs Md. Faridul Haque Khan MP inaugurated the hospital as the chief guest.

Munshiganj-3 MP and Awami League leader Advocate Mrinal Kanti Das, Secretary to the Ministry of Religion Md Nurul Islam, Waqf Administrator (Additional Secretary) Abdullah Sajjad, Hamdard Bangladesh Board of Trustees Chairman and former Secretary Kazi Golam Rahman were present as special guests. Retired Lt. Gen. Abu Tayyab Md. Zahirul Alam and Founder of Modern Hamdard Bangladesh, Managing Director and Chief Motapalli of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh Dr. Hakim Md. Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan.

Welcoming remarks were made by Lt. Col. Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury (Retd.), Director, Hamdard Foundation Bangladesh. Hamdard Bangladesh Deputy Managing Director and Motawalli Md. Jamal Uddin Russell, Gazaria Upazila Parishad Chairman Md. Amirul Islam, Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner`s Office Deputy Director SM Shafiq, Munshiganj Additional Commissioner of Police Khandaker Ashfaquzzaman, Gazaria Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ziaul Islam Chowdhury were also present at this moment.

Vice Chancellor of Hamdard University Bangladesh Prof. Md. Abdul Mannan presided over the function.

Former Secretary of Religion, Treasurer of Hamdard University Chowdhury Md. Babul Hasan expressed his gratitude.

After the discussion meeting and unveiling of the plaque of Hamdard GeneralHospital, the Hon`ble Minister of Religious Affairs and the invited guests planted trees in the courtyard of the institution.

This is the first time in Bangladesh that Hamdard GeneralHospital has started a combination of Unani, Ayurvedic and Allopathic treatments.
