Online Desk: Sheikh Hasina opens `Community Vision Centre` at 70 upazila health complexes in 20 districts through videoconferencing

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said the government is working relentlessly to ensure the basic rights of the people including education and medical treatment.

She said the government set up community clinics to bring services to the doorsteps of the people but the initiatives were later ignored.

"However, after coming to power in 2008, we started reaching out to grassroots people again through community clinics. The people of this country will not get medical treatment, it cannot happen."

The premier made the remarks while inaugurating "Community Vision Centre" at 70 upazila health complexes in 20 districts through videoconferencing from her official residence Ganabhaban in Dhaka on Thursday.
