Manufacturers should be careful in constructing safe electrical equipment: Minister for Liberation War Affairs

Special Correspondent: AKM Mozammel Haque, Minister for Liberation War Affairs of the Government of the People`s Republic of Bangladesh, has expressed hope that various chronic equipments produced by Opus Electronics Stick will play a special role in supplying electricity to Bangladesh. The minister expressed this hope while addressing the chief guest at the Opus Electronics Grand Opening Program at Amari Hotel in Gulshan on Wednesday night. The Liberation War Affairs Minister further said that the manufacturing companies should be vigilant in constructing safe electrical equipment. There are many companies in Bangladesh that produce low quality electrical equipment, which leads to a number of unintended accidents every year. The Minister for Liberation War Affairs thinks that Opus will come forward to build Bangladesh by constructing electronic compliant electrical equipment. Chairman of the company Mohammad Omar Farooq presided over the function and Md. Rafiqul Anwar, Editor of the daily Noakhali Pratidin and President of the Kolkata-Dhaka Friendship Council was present as a special guest. Md. Mahudul Hasan, Managing Director of the company and Advocate Mizan Abdullah among others spoke. At the time of speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the company Mohammad Omar Farooq promised, "Opus will be of international standard. Our products will be purchased by a buyer within his or her means."

Distributors from different parts of the country participated in the event which started at 6 pm. Chairman of the company Mohammad Omar Farooq signed the agreement between the distributors on the occasion. Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque praised Opus Chairman Mohammad Omar Farooq and said, "When we went to Scotland on an official visit, Mr. Omar Farooq gave us warm hospitality." The opening ceremony was announced by cutting a giant cake at the ceremony. The Hon`ble Minister toured the electronic products manufactured by Opus. Later, the Hon`ble Minister attended the dinner and enjoyed the cultural program.
