Divisional Commissioner provided financial assistance to cancer patient Sagar

Liakut, Rajshahi Bureau: Divisional Commissioner Dr.Md. Humayun Kabir provided financial assistance to Sagar, who is suffering from blood cancer at the Divisional Commissioner`s Office at 11 am on Sunday.

Sagar smprti, son of Bablu of Naderabad area of ​​Gomstapur upazila of Chapainawabganj district, succumbed to leukemia recently.

Regarding Sagar, the divisional commissioner said, "I came to know through `Dainik Sonar Desh` that Sagar is suffering from blood cancer." I was shocked to see pictures of the sea in the newspaper. So he was given financial support out of a sense of social responsibility and duty.

Divisional Commissioner Md. Humayun Kabir said that he will provide overall support for the treatment of Sagar.

Regarding the boy`s illness, Bablu said that three months ago, Sagar`s right eye suddenly became swollen. A few days later, blood came out of his nose and mouth. He was rushed to RajshahiMedicalCollegeHospital where he was diagnosed with blood cancer. Over the last three months my son`s whole body has gradually swelled and I can`t see anything in his eyes now.

Bablu, Sagar`s father, also said that he sells coconuts, pineapples, bananas and watermelons in a van. It is impossible for me to treat this disease. Due to lack of money I could not get treatment for my son. I sincerely thank the Divisional Commissioner Sir for providing financial assistance to my son for his medical treatment during this Corona period. With Sir`s help, I got hope back, I will treat my son again.

He also said that I got my first financial support after the news of my son was published in the daily Sonar Desh. So I thank all those involved in Sonar Desh.

Sagar`s mother said, I went to treat my son and became helpless. So I could not get to the hospital due to lack of money. The Divisional Commissioner Sir paid for the treatment of my son. So I am extremely happy. At least my son will not die without treatment, said Nasima Begum.
