Friend killed by another friend in Rajshahi city

Liakut, Rajshahi: Mizanur Rahman (35), a basketball player of Ansar Bahini, was stabbed to death in front of Hetemkhan Bidyut Bhaban in Rajshahi by his friend Madhab, son of Madan of Hetam Khan area.

The murder took place at 6:30 pm on Saturday. Mizanur`s house is in Hetam Khan Sabjipara area of ​​the city. He was a member of Ansar in Gazipur Sakhipur.

Boalia Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nibaran Chandra Barman said Mizanur Rahman came to Rajshahi on April 8 on leave. In the evening, he was chatting with his friends in the alley next to the power building. At that time, there was a quarrel with friends about turning off the lights of the mobile. Then a man named Madhav from Hetam Khan area came and stabbed him severely.

When Mizan was admitted to RajshahiMedicalCollegeHospital with serious injuries, the on-duty doctor declared him dead. The killer Madhav has been on the run since the incident. After that the locals blocked the road in front of the power office. There is tension in that area.

Three hours after the incident, the killer could not apprehend Madab. The case is being processed at the police station till the report is written.
