Matabbar was hacked to death in Sirajganj

Rafiqul Islam, Sirajganj: A local mother named Khoka Sheikh was hacked to death by miscreants in Kamarkhand of Sirajganj. The incident took place at Alp Mahmudpur village of Kamarkhand upazila on Friday night. The deceased was identified as Khoka Sheikh, son of late Saber Ali Sheikh of the village.

 Local UP member Hamidul Islam said the miscreants hacked Khoka Sheikh on the way home from a local tea shop at night and fled. Later, the locals took her to Sirajganj 250-bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib GeneralHospital. As his condition was serious, the doctor referred him to Bogra. Khoka died on the way there. Kamarkhand Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) KM Rakibul Huda said Khoka Sheikh`s body was brought to the police station at night in connection with the murder. The body will be sent to Sirajganj GeneralHospital for autopsy. Preparations are underway to file a case in this regard.
