Staff correspondent: With the arrangement of the Bangladesh Army, the Army Chiefs’ Conclave was held in Dhaka cantonment yesterday. Minister for Foreign Affairs AK Abdul Momen was present at the event. The seminar was held as part of the military exercise “Shantir Ogroshena.”

The topic of discussion in the seminar was the Future Trend of Global Conflict: Role of UN Peacekeepers.

Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed placed the keynote at the event.

Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane, Deputy Chief of Operation Brigadier General Darji Rinchen from Bhutan, Force Commander United Nation Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali Lieutenant General Dennis Gylensporre, Force Commander United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Region Lieutenant General Sidki Daniel Traore was also present at the event.     

The seminar was also attended by officials from other forces and government agencies alongside news editors and journalists.

The participants of the seminar also discussed future conflicts and the role of UN peacekeepers in resolving the issues.
