Rape of a married woman in Shibganj: Rapist arrested

Faisal Azam Apu, Chapainawabganj: The housewife has filed a case under Section 9 (1) 8/30 of the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act against her cousin for raping a housewife named Asha Khatun in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj. On Friday (April 9), the housewife filed a complaint with the Shibganj Police Station against her cousin Parvez Ali, 25, and three others, including the main accused. According to the statement, she got married to Sohail at Shibnagar Jaigir village in Shibganj Upazila about six months ago. After the marriage, her cousin-in-law Parvez started visiting her father-in-law`s house frequently. As a result, the accused Parvez wants to have sexual relations with the housewife by showing various temptations. In the meantime, a love affair developed between them. On April 2, housewife Asha Khatun went to visit her grandfather`s house. On April 4, accused Parvez took her to a tinset house in Bagantuli village of Shibganj upazila after showing the temptation of marriage and they had sexual intercourse. Thus, they had sexual intercourse more than once in 3 days. Later, when the housewife pressured him for marriage, the accused Parvez started talking and cheating with the housewife. Shibganj Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farid Hossain and SI Ataur Rahman said that He was arrested and sent to jail through the court.
