Former law minister Abdul Matin Khasru passes away

MT Desk: Former law minister, Awami League Presidium Member and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Abdul Matin Khasru passed away at a hospital in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.

Matin Khasru breathed his last at around 4:45pm while undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, said Advocate Shamim Khan, a member of Advocate Abdul Matin Khasru and Associates.

He was put on life support yesterday at the CMH as his health condition deteriorated.

The five-time lawmaker from Cumilla-5, gave sample for Covid-19 test on March 15 and on March 16 he was diagnosed as coronavirus positive and admitted to CMH.

He was elected SCBA president for 2021-2022 on March 11.
