Garment workers stage demo demanding extension of Eid vacation

Online Report : Workers of readymade garments in Mirpur`s Kalshi area have started demonstration demanding extension of their Eid-ul-Fitr vacation for seven days.

Pallabi Police Station SI Aklima Akhter informed that the workers took to the road at 9am on Monday.

The agitating employees claimed that they did extra work in the previous days for Eid leave.

On Sunday, the workers of some garments in the area also took to the street for the same reason.

The government directed all officials and employees to stay at their respective work stations during three-day Eid holidays.
