Residents of 14 villages in Bhola celebrate Eid

Times Correspondent : Residents of 14 villages in Bhola district offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers on Thursday, in accordance with Saudi Arabia and other countries.

The 14 villages are: Ilisha and Ratanpur under Sadar upazila; Tabgi and Mulaipattan under Borhanuddin; Shibpur, Khaserhat, Chandpur and Chanchra under Tajumuddin; Farajganj and Lalmohan municipality area under Lalmohan; and Dularhat, Dhalchar; and Charfasson municipality area and Char Patila under Charfasson.

Bangladesh will, however, officially celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday as the Shawwal moon was not sighted on Wednesday evening. The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee.
