3 lakh first yr NU students promoted to 2nd yr
  Date : 29-03-2024

Online Report : The National University authorities have decided to promote 317,676 first year students of 2019-2020 academic session to the second year.

It was not possible to take the examinations of the students because of the pandemic, said NU in a press release on Wednesday.

Students who had filled the forms to participate in the Honours first year examination in 2020 are allowed to take part classes in the second year on conditions, it added.

A total 467,835 students filled up and submitted their forms to participate in first year exams in 2020. Of them, the number of regular students are 297,626 while irregular students are 19,050.

Of them, 151,159 students submitted their forms for quality improvement of the exams, the release said.

One of the conditions for getting promotion is these students must take part in the first year examinations if the situation improves. If a student does not take part in this examinations, or is not promoted by taking part in the examinations, then his/her conditional promotion will be considered void.

The detailed information will be available on the National University website: www.nu.ac.bd
