Signal 3 for maritime ports
  Date : 16-04-2024

News Desk : Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has asked the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra to hoist local cautionary signal number-3, reports BSS.

The ports have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three as a low pressure area has formed over central bay and adjoining North Bay intensified into a well-marked low over Northwest Bay and adjoining west Central Bay.

It is likely to intensify further, said a met office weather bulletin.

Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, it said.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
