  Date : 25-04-2024

Planning Minister MA Mannan has given explanation of his speech, “If cattle can eat water hyacinth, why can’t we?” He said, “I urged researchers to find a way to turn water hyacinth into a consumable item for humans. I just made a fun on it saying- we can think about this. One replied-cattle can eat it.”

He also said, “I myself ate the flower of water hyacinth in my boyhood. I still miss it.” He came up with the disclosure at a press brief after ECNEC meeting at NEC conference room of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Tuesday.
