PEC, Ebtedayee exams scrapped

Online Desk : The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given approval to cancel this year`s Primary Education Completion (PEC), and its equivalent Ebtedayee examinations.

An additional secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education confirmed the matter to News.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain will officially inform the media about this later, he said.

Earlier, the ministry sent a proposal to the premier over the cancellation of this year`s PEC and Ebtedayee examinations due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has recently announced that the government cancelled this year`s Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations.
