Have been waiting for a long lockdown to take class physically

Md. Alamgir Hossain: As the saying goes, a teacher is a person who creates people of all other professions.  And the students are the lifeblood of those teachers.  Mailing between teachers and students is done through the campus.  According to the diary, the campuses of the affiliated universities have been stalled since March 2020.  However, the school and college have been reopened as per the announcement of the Hon`ble Education Minister.  This time the authorities of the universities have decided to open their campuses and residential halls step by step.  Already many public and private universities of the country have come into operation.

We all know that the more important a child is to a mother, the more valuable a student is to a teacher.  In addition to personal life, the place of thinking and believing in the minds of teachers is always occupied by the thoughts of the students.  After waking up in the morning, the university teachers started preparing to leave for the campus to teach the students.  Even before going to bed again, they set in their head what to teach in class the next day.  In this way, teachers wake up in the morning and remember the students before going back to sleep at night.  In short, students are the oxygen of teachers.  How were the teachers without oxygen for long 18 months?  Just as the teachers are drowning in the sadness of not being able to see the fresh students, the green campus has become deserted without the students walking.  Even if the teachers travel to the campus for academic work, the campus should remain silent without the students.

Similarly, the campus of PrimeUniversity has been dilapidated for 18 months.  In the picture above, the teachers of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Prime University have spent the night waiting for the arrival of the students in the campus.  However, we have kept pace with the learning of students through online platforms to keep this education system afloat.  When all the colleagues tried to have a little chat together, I heard the same sound in everyone`s mouth many times, when I will be able to see the students standing in the class with my eyes closed, when I will be able to teach them!

We often had to come to campus in lockdowns to manage department work.  Every time I looked at the classroom through the empty window on the way to and from the office, my heart was bleeding unknowingly.  The dusty hall room, cafeteria, common room, when I look at them, tears come out of the corner of my eye.  Hon`ble Vice Chancellor of Prime University announced the decision to open the campus on the 1st of this month.  Ever since we heard the announcement, we have all been watching the students` walks with great interest.

Note that although my teaching age is about two years, I got the opportunity to take classes standing in the classroom for five months.  Then a terrible epidemic began.  I have kept in touch with the students virtually to keep their morale strong.  This time after waiting, I stood in the class and started the teaching process again.  Just like after Subeh Sadiq, the eastern sky crossed the waiting level and became illuminated by the blood-stained rays of the sun.
