Suspended mayor Jahangir sued in DSA case

Online Report : A case has been filed under the Digital Security Act against suspended Gazipur City Corporation mayor Jahangir Alam for making derogatory comments on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Liberation War martyrs.

Advocate Mohammad Omar Faruk Asi lodged the case with the Cyber Tribunal in Dhaka on Monday.

After recording the plaintiff`s statement, the tribunal ordered CID to submit investigation report by January 6, its prosecutor Nazrul Islam Shamim confirmed.
