BIWTA shuts operations of launches to contain COVID-19

Online Desk: Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has announced suspension of launch services for indefinite period in order to check the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The BIWTA confirmed it on Tuesday, says media report. Shutdown of launch services will start from Tuesday, BIWTA Director Md Saiful Islam informed. He said the order will be in effect after all the launches docked at the pontoons leave.
