2 youths killed as bus, truck collide in Rajshahi

Two youths were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Bijoynagar area of Godagari upazila in Rajshahi on Wednesday morning. One of them deceased was identified as Matiur Rahman, a bus driver, son of Abdul Aziz, hailing from Chandipur village of Tanore upazila.

The Chaipainawabganj-bound passenger bus from Rajshahi collided with the truck coming from opposite direction on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway at 7:00 am, leaving the duo dead on the spot and 10 others injured, said Abdul Bari, in-charge (investigation) of Premtoli Police Station. Later, locals took the injured to Upazila Health Complex, he said.

The dead bodies were sent to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsies, the police officer said.
