Shirin Akhter joins as MD of Karmasangsthan Bank

Press Release: The Government of the People`s Republic of Bangladesh appointed Shirin Akhter as Managing Director of Karmasangsthan Bank on contractual basis for a period of 2 (two) years then she joined Karmasangsthan Bank on 20 December 2021. She retired from the post of Managing Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank on 14 December 2021. After completion of post graduate degree with Honours in Political Science from DhakaUniversity, she started her career as Senior Officer in Agrani Bank through BRC in 1988. During her tenure at Agrani Bank, she performed her duties as Branch Manager, Head of Division, CFO and also Circle Heads of Faridpur, Sylhet, Dhaka Circle-2 and Mymensingh Division. In her career, she earned MBA, LLB and DAIBB degree. She was born in a reputed muslim family of Charbhadrasan Upazilla in Faridpur District. In personal life, she is the eldest daughter of late Ayesha Rahman who was the founder General Secretary of Bangladesh Mohila Awami League, Mohammadpur thana of Dhaka and Late Khalilur Rahman, former Assistant Director Of Bangladesh Bank. She is the grandson’s wife of Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah, a renowned linguist and great-granddaughter of famous Hekimi physician of the subcontinent Hekim Habibur Rahman Akhunjada.
