Advocate. Md. Rayhan Ali: As soon as the second wave of the corona could not cope, the ordeal of the third wave began. It is as if it is destroying the whole world. Every effort has been made to deal with the disturbance. The second wave of lethality spreads to an Indian type called the Corona Delta variant.

In the second wave, from April 5, 2021, the first lockdown and from July 1, the shutdown was banned.  The shutdown was called off on August 11. After that everything was going almost normally.  In order to overcome the loss of Corona, the government was moving ahead with various measures to move the wheel of the economy. Then hit the corona again!  The world`s new terror omikron type virus was first found in South Africa in November last year. The World Health Organization (WHO) says at least 60 countries have since been affected by the new type of corona.

Subsequent studies have shown that spike proteins contained many mutations; leading to fears that omikron could spread too quickly.  And so it has been.  This new type of corona virus has spread around the world in just a few days. This new wave of Omicron is spreading in the third wave, although Delta is also spreading in parallel.  In November 2021, a new type of corona, Omicron, was discovered in South Africa. Within a month, Omicron was detected in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Australia, Israel, Botswana, India, and Hong Kong.  The third wave of Corona really started. This new type of corona in South Africa is Omicron when the third wave of corona is spreading in the world;  Then another new strain of coronavirus was discovered in the south of France. In the meantime, 12 new patients have been identified.  Researchers at the University Hospital Institute of Medicine Infection (IHU) reported the data. In Bangladesh too the influence of Delta type and Omicron is increasing rapidly.  The third wave of corona outbreaks has been confirmed in the country as the detection rate has exceeded 5 percent in contrast to 15 consecutive days of corona infection testing. The corona detection rate is now close to 30 percent.  This month, on January 6, the detection rate has gone up almost every day after dropping 5.8 per cent against the Corona test.  The health department said in a press release on Saturday (January 22nd) that 18 people had died in Corona in the country in 24 hours.  At this time 9 thousand 614 people have been newly identified. The detection rate is 26.02 percent. Corona has so far killed 26,209 people in the country;  The number of identities stands at 16 lakh 64 thousand 230 people.

 We think the question may arise as to how the corona wave is calculated; According to World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, infections are controlled if the infection rate falls below 5 percent.  The next wave is thought to have hit if the transit rate has dropped from 5 to below 5. However, this decision is not taken on a one-day basis.  If the infection rate is more or less than 5 percent for two consecutive weeks, then the infection is considered to be under control or the next wave.  After the corona infection in the country on March 6, 2020, it came under control on February 3, 2021. At the end of March, the second wave hit again.  It came under control on October 4.  Since then, the detection rate has been steadily declining as opposed to testing.  At one point it drops below 2 percent to close to 1 percent, but the rate of infection increases with the onset of winter.  Experts have previously hinted that the corona could strike our country in winter. Experts say the death toll is lower even if the third wave of corona is detected.  By the day the first wave of corona came under control, five lakh 36 thousand 545 people had been identified across the country. Eight thousand 181 people died till that day.  By the time the second wave of corona was confirmed on March 20 last year, 5 lakh 6 thousand 606 people had been identified with the virus in the country.  6 thousand 6 people died. On October 4, the day the second wave was confirmed to be under control, the number of people identified as infected with the virus in the country was 15 lakh 56 thousand 758 people.  Of these, 26,591 people died.  In other words, the death toll in the second wave was much higher than in the first wave.  9 lakh 90 thousand 52 people were identified in this wave.  And 18 thousand 926 people died. Meanwhile, public health expert Abu Jamil Faisal, however, thinks that there is no room for caution due to these statistics.  "The World Health Organization (WHO) has previously said that the death toll from Omicron is low," he said.  Knowing that, people are showing reluctance to follow the hygiene rules. Even the government is not complying with the restrictions.  However, Delta still dominates.  People affected by delta are getting very sick and have to be hospitalized.  Their problem is the same as before.  In addition to those who have diabetes, high blood pressure and other chronic diseases, such patients can develop a complicated situation if they are infected with corona. He should be strict in following the hygiene rules.  New restrictions are coming: Various restrictions have been in place since January 13 due to fears of a third wave, but most of them have turned into paper tigers.

 However, the government has announced to take action in case of disaster. On the day the third wave was confirmed, the school-college was ordered to close again.  Universities have announced to drop classes online and take online classes again.  All examinations at the NationalUniversity have been postponed. In addition, it has been decided to allow a maximum of 100 people to enter the social event on the condition of vaccination card.  Book fairs and trade fairs do not have any restrictions, but it is not possible to go there without a vaccination certificate.  So far, however, the government has said it has no plans to impose restrictions such as public holidays, lockdowns or shutdowns.

The first and second waves of the corona hit the third wave before it could recover.  Public life is in danger again.  Many people are thinking that the rate of infection is going up and the decision of lockdown may come from the government at any time.  There is a panic in the minds of the people as the rate of transmission of the third wave is higher than that of the first and second waves.

 In the midst of all this, scientists are sounding the word of hope.

 Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, claim that coronavirus infections are slowly coming to an end. They don`t claim that the virus infection will gradually end this time.  That means the earth will be free from epidemics. At least that`s what the data indicates. The researchers said that the corona virus was always with us.  But the epidemic never took shape. They are slowly coming to a standstill as the epidemic takes shape.  Because human immunity has now reached the stage of preventing the transmission of corona virus. That means the emu has been created. That is why the world is going to be free from epidemics at the previous stage. The same hint was given by Hu.  That is what the news media is saying.

 Our big task now is to patiently comply with World Health Organization (WHO) regulations without panicking over Omicron. Everyone must be aware to follow the hygiene rules; the immune system must be increased, everyone must be vaccinated against corona.  Corona`s new type of Omicron is not panic, awareness is victory.
