IIOJK authorities again disallow Juma Prayers at Jamia Masjid Srinagar
  Date : 29-03-2024

KMS, Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities did not allow the Muslims to perform mandatory Friday prayers, at Jamia Masjid Srinagar for the 26th consecutive week.

Anjunman Auqaf Jamia Masjid in a statement said that by doing so, the authorities continue to hurt the religious sentiments of the Muslims.

The Anjuman also termed it extremely painful and distressing that its head, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, continues to be under house arrest since August 5, 2019, preventing him from reaching out to people.

The Anjuman once again asked the authorities to open the Jamia Masjid for Friday prayers and release the Mirwaiz.
