Online Report : The government has extended the Eid-ul Fitr vacation for one day on Thursday (April 20).
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting on Monday. After the meeting, Cabinet secretary Md Mahbub Hossain confirmed this to media.
He said, "Considering the people`s smooth journey, the government extended the Eid vacation for one more day."
Now, the five-day Eid-ul-Fitr vacation will start from Wednesday (April 19) as April 19 is a holiday for the Shab-e-Qadr.
The government offices will remain closed from April 19-23.
