Wife of former chief information commissioner Golam Rahman dies of Covid-19

Naim Ara Hossain, wife of former chief information commissioner M Golam Rahman, died of Covid-19 at a hospital in the city on Tuesday morning. She was 65.

She breathed her last at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital at around 5:40 am while undergoing treatment.
Golam Rahman, who also served as the chairman of the board of directors of state-run news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), confirmed the news in a status posted on his Facebook page.

Rahman, a former professor at Dhaka University’s Mass Communication and Journalism Department, and other members of his family tested positive for the virus on May 29.
