Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina mourns death of freedom fighter Latiful Alam

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Major (retd) Latiful Alam Chowdhury, the spouse of Chattogram University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Shirin Akhter.

She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Freedom fighter Latiful Alam died of Covid-19 at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Chattogram early Wednesday.
He breathed his last around 1:30am at the ICU of the hospital, according to his family members. His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at Chattogram Cantonment at 11am while the second one in Garibullah Shah area in the city after Zohr prayers.
