| Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina mourns death of freedom fighter Latiful Alam |

| Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Major (retd) Latiful Alam Chowdhury, the spouse of Chattogram University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Shirin Akhter.
She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Freedom fighter Latiful Alam died of Covid-19 at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Chattogram early Wednesday.
He breathed his last around 1:30am at the ICU of the hospital, according to his family members. His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at Chattogram Cantonment at 11am while the second one in Garibullah Shah area in the city after Zohr prayers.
