Jahangir Alam Manik, Sapahar: A discussion meeting and distribution of sewing machines was held on the occasion of the 90th birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nesha in Sapahar, Naogaon with the theme "Leaving Bangamata and Symbol of Beauty". A discussion meeting was organized by the Upazila Women`s Affairs Office in collaboration with the Upazila administration on Saturday (August 8) at 11 am in the Upazila Parishad Hall room while maintaining social distance. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kalyan Chowdhury presided over the function. Upazila Chairman Alhaj Shahjahan Hossain was present as the chief guest on the occasion.

Speakers at the meeting paid homage to Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nesha and discussed her sacrifices and highlights. Later, 6 sewing machines were distributed among 6 needy women as a gift from the Prime Minister. Upazila Women`s Affairs Officer Sultan Mahmud, Tilna UP Chairman Moslem Uddin, Press Club President Jahangir Alam Manik, Reporters Forum President Hafizul Haque and journalist Sohail Chowdhury, other officials and employees were present.
