RAB raid in Teknaf arrests youth with foreign pistols |

Abu Sayem,Cox`s Bazar: RAB-15 has arrested a 19-year-old Rohingya youth with a foreign pistol in a raid at Teknaf in Cox`s Bazar. RAB-15 Assistant Director (Media) ASP Abdullah Mohammad Sheikh Saadi confirmed this information to Daily Apon Kantha on Tuesday, August 11. Sheikh Saadi said on Thursday (August 10) based on a tip-off, RAB came to know that some arms dealers were stationed on the paved road adjacent to Leda Old Bus Stand in Hnila Union under Teknaf Police Station for the purpose of buying and selling arms. While trying to escape, RAB members chased and arrested the fugitive. After searching the body of the detainee, they searched the body of the detainee and recovered a 7.5-inch long foreign pistol with a butt strapped to the back of his waist. Teknaf admits that it has been collecting and buying from the border areas. In this regard, Assistant Director of RAB-15 ASP Abdullah Mohammad Sheikh Saadi said that the accused has been handed over to Teknaf Police Station after filing a case under the Arms Act.
