  Date : 26-04-2024

Dr. Muhammad Mahtab Hossain Mazed: Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated during coronavirus outbreaks. According to experts, dengue could be worse this time than last year. This is because since the onset of dengue outbreak in the country, most people have been infected and died of the disease last year.

From January to April this year, 296people were diagnosed with dengue but no deaths were reported. However, only 131 people were infected at this time last year. Experts say the outbreak could increase in July-August this year if action is not taken as soon as possible.

In America it is called breakbone fever. At the end of the monsoon, the fever is spread by mosquitoes. The disease first appeared in the form of an epidemic in Dundee, Scotland, hence the name Dandy Fever. Symptoms usually appear within five to seven days of being bitten by a dengue-carrying mosquito.

Some dengue patients recover completely without any symptoms. Symptoms of dengue fever include fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, and skin rash, which is the equivalent of measles fever. In some cases, the disease turns into a deadly dengue hemorrhagic fever. Which results in bleeding, low levels of blood molecules and later dengue shock syndrome. Most dengue fever heals in seven days and most are not terrible. Eat enough water, rest and drink plenty of fluids. This fever is caused by the pain of broken bones in the body, this is why this fever is called dengue fever. The fever can be divided into two types - general dengue fever and hemorrhagic dengue fever.

★ Common dengue fever: -

Cold is felt as the body temperature rises. Fever can range from 102 to 105 degrees. There is pain all over the body and in the eyes. At this time the patient`s tongue becomes dry and there is nausea. Swelling of the face. Two or three days later, the fever returned. Measles-like rash comes out on the body which disappears after 2/3 days. However, at the end of the fever, extreme weakness, loss of appetite, mental exhaustion occurs. The level of white blood cells decreases and the amount of eosinophils increases.

Hemorrhagic dengue fever: -

The radiance of the skin decreases, the skin feels very sticky and cool. There is constant abdominal pain. Bleeding may occur under the gums, nose, mouth or skin at first. There may be black spots under the skin. The children are constantly crying. Gets very thirsty. To be short of breath

Can Occasionally vomiting occurs. Vomiting may not contain blood. There may be black colored toilets. Dengue fever is a complex condition called dengue shock syndrome. In this condition the heart rate increases. Blood pressure drops. The whole body, including the hands, became cold as ice. At some point the patient may faint. The patient feels very restless, at the same time feeling sleepy.

Things to do: -

* Dengue fever patient should be wiped repeatedly with cold water to reduce body temperature.

* If the body feels cold, you have to give food saline.

* Patients with hemorrhagic dengue fever should be taken to hospital.

* The patient should be given more water to rest.

Homeopathy: -

Medicines recommended by experienced physicians for dengue fever include Segureo Holeo - Aconite, Belladonna, Bryonia, Rastox, Eupeterium Parf, Arsenic Album, Carbovez, Epicac, Sulfur and many more. Medications may change depending on the symptoms. So if you want to get protection from dengue fever, consult an experienced homeopath.
