International Physics Webinar held at Pabna University of Science & Technology

Kazi Babla, Pabna: The most devastating epidemic of the 21st century is the corona virus or Covid-19. Outbreaks of coronavirus have adversely affected the current education system in Bangladesh. The whole world seems to be at a standstill now with the onslaught of the corona virus. The normal life journey of the people has come to a halt. All educational institutions including schools, colleges and universities have been declared closed. Students are being forced to study online from home. Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) have already started its online education activities on a large scale to continue online education at home as per the instructions of Bangladesh University Grants Commission. Following this, the Department of Physics is organizing regular international physics webinars. In the meantime, the Department of Physics has successfully organized 30 webinars. The department is going to organize several more international physics webinars in the future. Renowned physicists from different countries of the world (Bangladesh, India, Japan, United Kingdom, Russia, Italy, Greece, America, Australia, Switzerland, Canada and other countries) are participating in these webinars and are imparting knowledge among the students. These international physics webinars are being conducted by Pritam Kumar Das, chairman of the physics department at PUST. Professor M Rostam Ali, Vice Chancellor of the University speaking on the occasion that this beautiful effort by the Department of Physics to make students interested in studying and researching physics during this Corona epidemic of the world is undoubtedly worthy of praise. He thanked the organizing department and expressed hope that their efforts would continue.
