Exchange meeting on the occasion of Durga Puja in Arani Municipality on law and order |

Liaquat, Rajshahi: The Arani Municipality of Rajshahi has held an exchange of views on law and order and overall issues on the occasion of Durga festival. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Arani Municipal Mayor Muktar Ali at the municipality premises on Wednesday. The meeting was conducted by Md. Saiful Islam Assistant Engineer Arani Municipality. Honorable Mayor of Arani Municipality Md. Muktar Ali addressed the meeting as the keynote speaker. The mayor said, "We have to make the festival a success by engaging everyone together on the occasion of celebrating Durga festival with this theme of religion for all." During the upcoming Durga Puja, strict vigilance should be maintained to prevent any untoward incident anywhere in the municipality. We have to keep a watchful eye so that no one can dispute it. Care should also be taken so that the people of the Hindu community can practice their religion without any hindrance. I promise my personal people and volunteers in white clothes will always be engaged in the discipline work of the puja mandapa area. Among others who spoke at the meeting were Sujit Kumar Pandey, President Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad Bagha Rajshahi. Apurba Kumar Saha, Secretary Bangladesh Puja Celebration Committee Bagha. Shri Ram Gopal Saha Retired Assistant Professor and Secretary Hindu Christian Unity Parishad. Shri Sanjay Das Arani Manomohini Government High School. The speakers welcomed the organization of Arani Municipality and discussed the overall issues of law and order and people from all walks of life in the Hindu community expressed their commitment and solidarity with the mayor now and in the future. Among others, businessman Alhaj Mohammad Shamim Ahmed, prominent businessman Mohammad Mazdar Ali and all the councilors of the municipality and dignitaries of the Hindu community and officials of various departments were present to make the meeting a success. It may be mentioned that in the end, financial grants and gift items were distributed to the worshipers of 12 puja mandapas in 12 Arani municipalities and two puja mandals outside the municipality.
