DB police arrested 4 people in Shibganj and Bholahat with Indian fake rupees

Faisal Azam Apu, Chapainawabganj: Chapainawabganj District Detective Branch (DB) police have arrested four people in Shibganj and Bholahat of Chapainawabganj along with about 5 lakh counterfeit Indian rupees. They raided Batagram in Shibganj upazila and Bargachhi Bazar area in Bholahat upazila on Sunday evening and seized counterfeit rupees, printers and arrested them. However, the matter was confirmed by the police on Monday afternoon.

The arrested are, Md. Futani Bazar Alalpur village of Bholahat upazila of Chapainawabganj. Dulal Haque`s son said, Jihad Rana (19), son of Mofiz Uddin of Chhota Jambaria area, Nabi Ullah (24), son of Shafiqul Islam of Durgapur, Abdus Samad (24) and Al-Amin alias Baitul Islam Mishuk (18), son of Babul Hossain of Dharampur Mannu junction.

District Detective Police Officer-in-Charge Alhaj Babul Uddin Sardar said at around 3pm on Monday that a team led by SI Abu Abdullah Zahid PPM led by SP AHM Abdur Rakib BPM PPM (Bar) conducted an operation in Batagram and Bholahat Bargachhi Bazar areas of Shibganj on Sunday evening. During the operation, 4 lakh 80 thousand Indian fake rupees, a printer, a memory card and the 4 youths were arrested. Necessary legal action has been taken in Shibganj and Bholahat police stations in this incident.
