Trader fined for selling potatoes at extra price in Sapahar

Jahangir Alam Manik, Sapahar: A mobile court operation has been launched in Sapahar, Naogaon to curb the rise in commodity prices.

Executive Magistrate and Acting UNO Sohrab Hossain conducted a mobile court with the members of Sapahar Police Station at Raw Bazar of Upazila Sadar on Tuesday noon. At that time, the mobile court fined two traders Tk 7,000 for selling potatoes at a price higher than the price fixed by the government.

At that time, several people who came to buy potatoes expressed their satisfaction over the supervision of the market by the upazila administration and thanked them and requested them to continue such campaigns.

Executive Magistrate and Acting Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sohrab Hossain said market monitoring is part of our regular activities.
