Science and technology fair started in Bagerhat

Masum Hawladar, Bagerhat: On the occasion of the 41st National Science and Technology Week, a three-day science fair and technology week has started in Bagerhat with the theme. Bagerhat Swadhinata Udyan inaugurated the fair on Tuesday morning, said Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner Md. Mamunur Rashid.

Bagerhat Additional District Magistrate Hafiz Al Asad presided over the inaugural function, Police Super Pankaj Chandra Roy, Civil Surgeon KM Humayun Kabir, District Education Officer Md. Kamruzzaman, District Council Member Advocate Sharifa Khan, Women Vice Chairman Rizia Parveen, and Principal of Bagerhat Multipurpose Collegiate School Mrs Farhana Akhter and others.

12 stalls of various secondary level educational institutions were displayed at the fair organized by the district administration. In these stalls, various eco-friendly projects discovered by the students of the respective institutions have been placed. The fair will conclude with a closing ceremony on Thursday afternoon.

The students who came to the fair said, "On the occasion of the science fair, we have come here with various small necessary projects and project models." We are inspired to see our own models as well as the models of other students. Students in their respective stalls give visitors ideas on how to work on their invented instruments or technologies.

The speakers said that this event will play a role in increasing the interest of students towards science. In the light of the theories and information of science taught in the school, the students make innovative instruments or technologies that can be easily applied in the daily work in real life.
