TSM of Unilever Magura campaign to change the name of Fair & Lovely into Glow & Lovely

Faruk Ahmed, Magura: Fair & Lovely has been renamed Unilever, a multinational consumer and food marketing company. The new name has been given Glow and Lovely. At the same time, the slogan of the signboard has changed. "We are also changing in the time of change. We are also coming with a new glow and love of confidence." Signboards have been decorated all over Bangladesh with this slogan.

Fair & Lovely`s new name Glow & Lovely was introduced to consumers and the public by Unilever Bangladesh Limited under the overall supervision of Magura District Unilever Distributor Tamim Enterprise on Thursday, October 29 at 3 pm Relaunch event of the discussed brand. Unilever`s Magura Territory Manager Mahmudul Hasan, Magura District Distributors Association President Manjurul Alam Murad, General Secretary Md. Shahinur Rahman Sharif, Manjurul Islam Rana Manager Tamim Enterprise, Sanjit Poddar Supervisor Tamim Enterprise, Al-Amin Supervisor were present on the occasion. Rahman, IT Officer Md. Rabbil Hossain Ishan, Sales Officer, Junior Sales Officer and other officers and employees of Unilever Bangladesh working in Magura District.

The event included rally performances, cultural events, friendly cricket and football tournaments. One of the highlights was the Raphael draw and the prize-giving ceremony among the winners. The program ended at 5 pm with the closing speech of Territory Manager Mahmudul Hasan.

Asked why Fair & Lovely and Glow & Lovely are the same product, Territory Manager Mahmudul Hasan said: Meanwhile, Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL) said in a statement that the company has stopped using the word `fair` from the name `Fair and Lovely` to promote the brand for universal beauty. The brand`s new name is expected to create a stir among users.

The message of women`s empowerment through evolution has been highlighted in Fair & Lovely`s advertising campaigns over the past decade, the statement said. The brand`s goal is to adopt an holistic approach to beauty that is universal and diverse, with everyone in mind. The brand is committed to talking about all skin types.
