Khalid Russell, Narayanganj: Golam Dastagir Gazi, MP of Narayanganj-01 constituency and Hon`ble Minister of Jute Ministry, has become very popular not because of power but because of love of Narayanganj people, said Bayazid Saud, Relief Secretary of Rupganj Tarab Municipal Juba League. Juba League leader Bayazid Saud said the leader of the land and people, Narayanganj-01 MP Golam Dastagir Gazi has been working for the socio-economic development of the locals at every moment since he became the Member of Parliament. He has always kept an eye on the development of roads, educational institutions and various important installations in his constituency. He has set up factories on his own initiative and provided employment to many people. Bayazid Saud further said that due to the love of the locals and his popularity in the area, the President of Bangladesh Awami League and Hon`ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina appointed Golam Dastagir Gazi as the Minister of Jute. Since taking charge as a minister, he has played a special role in solving various problems of the jute industry. The Hon`ble has never abused his power even from an important position in the Parliament but has distributed himself among the common people. Bayazid said that along with the development of the area, Golam Dastagir Ghazi has also kept an eye on socio-cultural events. His activities did not stop even during the coronation period. On behalf of the helpless people, Golam Dastagir Ghazi distributed relief items and cash at his own expense. In this case, his young generation is moving forward with equal pace. Pappa Ghazi, the worthy son of Hon`ble Member of Parliament Golam Dastagir Ghazi, has joined politics with the ideals of a close friend and in the way shown by his father and has been working extensively for the development of the area.
