Hands in sensitive place of student, Madrasah teacher arrested

District Correspondent: Police have arrested a 28-year-old madrasa teacher named Enamul on charges of sexually harassing two female students of Qawmi Madrasa in Hili, Dinajpur.

He was arrested at noon on Saturday (January 16) from Chhatni Char Matha area of ​​Hakimpur upazila. The detainee was identified as Enamul, son of Abdul Aziz of Binail Union in Birampur upazila. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Hakimpur Police Station Ferdous Wahid confirmed the matter.

According to a written complaint lodged with the police station, Mominul Islam admitted his granddaughter and daughter to Chhatani Markazul Uloom Al Islamia Madrasa a month ago. On January 14, after the madrasa holiday, teacher Enamul locked his daughter and granddaughter in the room and touched the sensitive part of the body. On January 15, the girl`s mother found out about the matter and informed the teachers of the madrasa. Later, the girl`s father lodged a written complaint against the teacher at Hakimpur police station on Saturday.

Hakimpur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ferdous Wahid said the girl`s father had lodged a sexual harassment complaint against Madrasa teacher Enamul on Saturday. A team of police later raided the Chhatni Char Mata area and arrested him. A case will be filed against him and sent to the court.
