Human chain in Rajshahi to protest the construction of raw market by evicting dense settlements

Hundreds of people in Haragram area of ​​Rajshahi city have been evicted from their densely populated areas to protest the decision to build a raw market. If such a decision is not withdrawn, the locals have warned of a double movement including siege of the city building. The announcement was made at a human chain program held at Saheb Bazar Zero Point in the city on Monday at 11am. Rajshahi Metropolitan Awami League Co-President Principal Shafiqur Rahman Badshah presided over the human chain. , Bir Muktijoddha Advocate Monowarul Islam, Senior Journalist Mostafizur Rahman Khan Alam, Smriti Parishad Co-President Salauddin Mintu and others. Speakers at the human chain said that people are being put on the road by vandalizing in the name of development in Rajshahi city. Thousands of people sat on the streets as a result of vandalism across the city. In Haragram too, it has been decided to evict the common people from the densely populated houses and build a raw market there, which is a suicidal decision. In fact, they have announced a mass movement twice, including the siege of the city building. The speakers also called for exchanging views with prominent citizens of the city before taking any decision.
