Meherghona Range operation clears illegal settlements, 2 acres of forest cleared

In the operation of Meherghona Range of Cox`s Bazar North Forest Department, 3 structures including illegally built houses have been demolished in the forest reserved in Kalirchhara bit. In this way, about 2 acres of land has been recovered from the hands of land grabbers. However, the pirates could not arrest anyone. These illegal structures were evicted from the morning of noon on January 19 at Kalirchhara bit under the MeherghonaRange under the leadership of Range Officer Mamun Mia in collaboration with the bit officer Kamrul Ahsan. He said there would be no place for pirates. We will crack down on those who are forcibly occupying the lands of the forest department. Two illegally constructed houses were demolished and 2 acres of land was recovered. Kalirchhara BIT Officer Kamrul Ahsan, BIT Officer, Villagers and staff took part in the operation. Range officer Md Mamun Mia said that preparations are underway to take legal action against those involved. Cox`s Bazar North Forest Department Assistant Forest Conservator Sohail Rana said the forest department is trying to recover government forest land. If anyone builds installations on government land, they will be evicted and I will play a vital role in protecting the forest by conducting operations against the occupiers. The operation will be carried out to bring the land under the law of forcible occupation and hill people. He called for cooperation in suppressing forest crime with information.
