Bangladesh records 58 more deaths, 5,683 new cases in Covid-19

Online Desk: Another 2,364 patients recovered from the infectious disease, Bangladesh has registered 5,683 new Covid-19 cases, taking the tally so far to 630,277.

The death toll climbed to 9,213 after 58 fatalities were recorded in a 24-hour time frame until Saturday morning, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a press release.

Another 2,364 patients recovered from Covid-19 through treatment at home and in hospital care, bringing the total recovery count to 549,775.

Of the 58 deceased — 38 men and 20 women — 39 were from Dhaka division, 12 from Chittagong, three from Khulna and two from Barisal division.
