Rupali Bank AGM Iqbal Hossain dies

Desk Report: Iqbal Hossain, assistant general manager of management and information department of state-owned Rupali Bank, died of a heart attack at 4.18 pm on Thursday. Inna-lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.

Rupali Bank Public Relations Officer Md. Ehteshamuzzaman confirmed the information. He was 49 years old at the time of his death. AGM Iqbal Hossain is working in the MIS department of the bank`s head office.

AGM Iqbal Hossain was admitted to the ICU of a hospital in the capital. His village home is in Sonakar village of Sreepur upazila under Gazipur district.

The janaza prayers of Iqbal Hossain will be held at his home at 10.00 am on Friday at his home in Sonakar village (near Sreepur crossroads) in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur.

He was a talented officer of Rupali Bank. He is survived by his wife, son and daughters. 

Note that Rupali Bank is a state-owned commercial bank in Bangladesh. Founded in 1972, it has 5,150 employees. The current chairman of the bank is Mr. Manzur Hossain.
