BCL leaders & workers cut paddy in Gopalganj due to labor crisis

Syed Akbar Hossain, Gopalganj: Leaders and activists of Chhatra League have cut one bigha of paddy of farmer Hasan Sharif due to labor crisis in Gopalganj.

On Thursday morning, a 20-member BCL team led by KS Ashik, former deputy secretary of the district BCL, cut paddy in one bigha of farmer Hasan Sharif`s land at Gopinathpur Sharif Para in Gopalganj Sadar upazila. Later they threshed the rice and took it home.

Farmer Hasan Sharif could not harvest paddy due to labor crisis. He is happy to cut his paddy and take it home. Chhatra League leaders and activists have said that they will cut the paddy from the side of the farmer and take it home in the future as well.
