Press Release: On the occasion of Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh Air Force is carrying out various humanitarian activities including distribution of relief goods, free medical services and Covid-19 vaccine to the general people by different Bases during Covid-19 pandemic with the direction Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc as part of humanitarian responsibility. In line with this, relief materials were distributed among the needy and poor families of BAF Base Sheikh Hasina, Cox`s Bazar and its adjoining areas on Tuesday following proper hygiene rules and maintaining the provision of social distance.
Besides, on 25 April 2021 BAF Base Zahural Haque, Chattogram, on 20 April 2021 BAF Base Birsreshto Matiur Rahman, Jessore, on 19 April 2021 BAF Base Bashar, Dhaka and on 12 & 24 April 2021 BAF Base Paharkanchanpur, Tangail, relief materials were distributed among the poor and helpless families of the Base and its adjoining areas following proper hygiene rules and maintaining the provision of social distance.
In addition, Bangladesh Air Force has been providing healthcare assistance to general people living in the vicinity of various Bases. As a part of this, BAF Base Zahural Haque, Chattogram and BAF Base Birsreshto Matiur Rahman, Jessore have launched special medical camps at the adjacent areas of the Bases on 19 April 2021 and 13 April 2021 respectively to provide free medical services to general people during corona pandemic. The camps are providing medical services to the general people as well as free essential medicines. In addition, health services have been provided to the general people living adjeacent of BAF Base Bangabandhu, Kurmitola by setting up a "Covid-19 Primary Symptom Diagnosis and Counseling Center" since 11 April 2021. Bangladesh Air Force is by the side of the general people through various activities to deal with any kind of national disaster and prevent coronavirus.
