Humanitarian assistance from the Navy in the remote hilly areas of Kaptai

Kaptai Correspondent: In response to the corona, the navy has provided food aid and iftar items to the poor, destitute and helpless people in the remote hilly areas of Kaptai. Under the supervision of Kaptai Naval Base Shahid Moazzam, the naval personnel on Tuesday provided food aid to 500 poor, destitute and helpless families in Gavghona, Bangalipara, Dhanpata, Baniktila, Chairman Para and Headman Para areas of Kaptai Upazila. As food aid, each family is provided with various food and iftar items including rice, pulses, sugar, oil, flour, gram and salt. Besides, similar food aid and iftar items were distributed among 400 families in Mongla Ferry Ghat of Bagerhat district, adjacent to Mongla Bazar and Devpur and Kalapara areas of Patuakhali district. In addition, the Navy`s Specialized Force Swades distributed rice, pulses, gram, sugar, potatoes, salt, onions, turnips, oil, garlic, ginger, chilli powder, turmeric powder, etc. among 200 poor and helpless unemployed families in Dangarchar, Chittagong.

 To deal with the situation in Corona, the naval personnel are conducting various activities to increase social awareness across the country. The Navy will continue its humanitarian assistance until the situation in the country improves.
