Only visa-expired Bangladeshis can reenter from India
  Date : 29-03-2024

Online Desk: Other than the transportation of goods, no one is allowed to enter Bangladesh from India through any land, sea or airports.

Only Bangladeshis whose Indian visas have expired can return to their country with special permission from the Bangladesh High Commission in India.

The decision was disclosed on Wednesday through a gazette notification issued announcing the extension of ongoing restrictions on public movement and gathering for another week in a bid to stem the spread of Covid-19.

The restrictions have been extended from of April 28 midnight to May 5.

“Other than the transportation of goods, no one is allowed to enter Bangladesh from India through any land, sea or airports. However, only Bangladeshis whose visas have expired can enter Bangladesh with special consideration subject to obtaining permission clearance from the Bangladesh High Commission in India,” the gazette notification said.
