Liton Hossain Akash, Dinajpur: Inland Boro Paddy-Rice Collection-2021 has been inaugurated in Dinajpur under the auspices of Food Department and Ministry of Food. Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder MP inaugurated the event via video conference on Wednesday. Also present at the inaugural function were Jatiya Sangsad Whip Iqbalur Rahim MP and Dinajpur-1 MP Manoranjan Sheel Gopal. Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner Khaled Mohammad Zaki, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Mohammad Shariful Islam, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Anwar Hossain BPM PPM (Bar), Sadar Upazila Nibarhi Officer Magfurul Hasan District, Dinajpur were present at the inaugural ceremony of internal boro paddy collection at Dinajpur CSD Godown premises. Food Controller SM Saiful Islam, District Rice Mill Owners Group President Md. Moshaddek Hussain, Sadar Upazila Food Controller Md. Rezaul Islam, CSD Manager Mizanur Rahman, Supervising Officer Asaduzzaman Reza, District Labor League General Secretary Md. Alauddin and others.

This time, the target for boro paddy collection in Dinajpur district has been set at 21,064 metric tonnes and wheat at 1,473 metric tonnes. The government will purchase paddy at Tk 27 per kg and rice at Tk 40 per kg directly from farmers.
