Islam never allows violence: home minister
  Date : 24-04-2024

Online Desk : Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said Islam never allows any violence as it is a religion of peace.

“…it is not the intention of any religion to commit atrocities, oppression and cruelty. The main intention of those who create anarchy in the name of religion is to gain political advantage,” he said.

The home minister said this after visiting the houses damaged by the Hefazat mayhem at Madhupur of Sirajdikhan in Munshiganj on March 28 last.

“I came here and saw what happened. I promise you that we will identify those who were involved in vandalism and bring them to justice. Law will take its own course and none will be spared here,” he said.

Dhaka Range DIG of police Habibur Rahman, additional DIG Noor Alam, major general (retd) AKM Humayun Kabir, superintendent of police of Munshiganj Abdul Momen, and Sirajdikhan Upazila Awami League president and upazila chairman Mohiuddin Ahmed, among others, were present. BSS
