Desk Report : The cabinet has approved the proposed national budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year.

The proposed budget was approved on Thursday, during a special meeting presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, held at the cabinet room in the Jatiya Sangsad building.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal and other cabinet ministers and state ministers concerned were present at the meeting.

However, Finance Minister is set to place over Taka 6.03 lakh crore national budget for fiscal 2021-2022 (FY 22) in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS). The session began at 3pm on Thursday.

This will be the 50th national budget of the country coinciding with the golden jubilee of the country’s independence while the 13th in a row for the Awami League government.
