621 held in Dhaka on 3rd day of strict lockdown

Staff Reporter: As many as 621 people were arrested in the capital on Saturday for breaching restrictions on the third day of strict lockdown.

Besides, several mobile courts fined 346 people around Tk 1,06,450.

Iftekharul Islam, the additional deputy commissioner of media and public relations division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told this Jago News this evening.

Iftekharul also said the vehicles that went outside unnecessarily during the lockdown have been fined about Tk 19,22,550 in 885 cases.

The government, however, imposed a strict lockdown across the country for a week starting from Thursday to contain the current spread of coronavirus.
