Interest in vaccination has increased in Jessore
  Date : 28-03-2024

M. Ayub, Jessore: In Jessore, people`s interest in getting corona vaccine has increased. This interest has increased since the beginning of the second phase of Ganatika. Interested people are appearing at the vaccination center ignoring the sun and rain as soon as they get the SMM. Sunday`s scene at the Nursing Institute Center on the 250-bed General Hospital campus in Jessore is proof of that.

According to the district health department, 4115 people were vaccinated against corona in Jessore on Sunday. Of these, 2291 are males and 1824 are females. 2062 people have been vaccinated in Sadar upazila. Besides, 254 in Abhaynagar, 286 in Bagharpara, 162 in Chougachha, 401 in Jhikargachha, 464 in Keshabpur, 308 in Manirampur and 178 in Sharsha.

People started coming to the vaccination center just after 9.00 am on Sunday. At 10.00 am the market is crowded with interested people. By 12.00 people are crowded. Until then, the sun was shining brightly. Even then people stood in the sun for a long time. It started raining immediately after 12.00. Even then, those interested in getting vaccinated did not break the line.

Abdus Samad, who was standing in line, said, "The way everyone is doing, there is no way without vaccines. The vaccine was not given on purpose in the first phase. `

In this regard, Akhtaruzzaman, the caretaker of the 250-bed General Hospital in Jessore, said, "Competition has started among the people for vaccination." If people get vaccinated in this way, most of the people in Jessore will be vaccinated within the next six months. And if this happens, the terrible condition of Corona in Jessore will be reduced to a great extent. `
