Rafiqul Islam, Sirajganj: In Shahjadpur, Sirajganj, a human chain program has been held to protest and demand the withdrawal of 10 false cases filed against more than three hundred people. The human chain program was held at Gopalpur in Kaijuri Union of the upazila on Tuesday morning. More than three hundred people from Gopalpur and Char Kaijuri villages participated in the human chain.

Deputy Commander of the local Muktijoddha Sangsad Bir Muktijoddha Zahurul Islam, former station master of Bangladesh Railway Haji Abdus Salam, government primary school teacher Faridul Islam, village doctor Abdul Hai and polytechnic student Habibur Rahman spoke during the human chain. The speakers said the local Mandal clan had filed at least 10 false cases in May over the clash between the government and the Mandal clan in Gopalpur village of Kaijuri union in Shahjadpur upazila of Sirajganj over mobile games. In addition to members of the Sarkar clan, at least 300 people from Gopalpur and Char Kaijuri villages were accused in these cases. Police are also favoring the Mandal dynasty in investigating the case and arresting the accused. The speakers demanded the withdrawal of the false cases.
